El Caballito de Soria

(Don't quote me on this history or the details because the information I have gathered here has come from bits and pieces of information that I have received in Castellano that I have attempted to decode...)

The Caballo Numantino is symbolic of Soria, the region of Castile & Leon that my village, Navaleno, is in. It is a Celtic symbol that represents the bravery and resistance against the Roman invaders, dating back centuries ago. The symbol came to be due to an excavation done at Numancia (Celtiberia) that revealed this symbol on utensils, vessels, and buckles.
