The Spanish tortilla is not the Mexican tortilla, please don't get the two confused or else you will really offend all my Spanish friends. The dish seems simple enough, an egg omelet filled with potatoes.... Well if you have 3 hours to dedicate to washing, peeling, cutting, cooking and smushing potatoes, and then you're a pro at flipping the huge omelet 4 or 5 times... then you're good. But if you're like me and you have never peeled a potato and don't have the patience to efficiently flip an omelet (or you just suck at cooking in general) then you're screwed.
The important part is that we tried.
